LEE CO., GA (WALB) – Lee County Commissioners approved a resolution that will allow a public/private flood prevention project to move forward.
LEESBURG — Pending a thumbs-up from County Attorney Jimmy Skipper, the Lee County Commission OK’d an agreement with the Oakland Plantation Partners development group Thursday evening that will allow the group to install water lines on property along the Oakland Parkway at a cost of $75,000.
Lee County– Lee County’s industrial park continues to grow and bring more jobs. Three businesses are currently located at Oakland Plantation and construction is ongoing. A fourth development will soon be located at the park.
Lee County- A North Carolina developer plans to construct two new retail developments on more than 100 acres purchased from Oakland Plantation’s business partners. The development will go up along Highway 82 and will include more than 900,000 square feet of retail space.
Lee County – It seems one of the nation’s fastest growing counties is on the right track when it comes to economic development but there’s still work to do.
Lee County– One of Southwest Georgia’s fastest growing counties is about to grow even faster. This Friday Governor Sonny Perdue will present Lee County commissioners with a check for $300,000.
Albany- Albany’s First Baptist Church will be moving to Lee County. During a church conference Wednesday night, the majority of the congregation, 75 percent, voted to buy this land at Oakland Plantation just outside Dougherty County.
