$20 million upscale apartment community to open by 2018

ALBANY — The Albany area will soon be boasting a new upscale upscale apartment community, as Oakland Plantation Partners prepares to start work on the latest phase of the Oakland Plantation development on U.S. Highway 82 in southwest Lee County.

Webb Properties, the broker for Oakland Plantation Partners, announced on its website this week that the new development, named Greystone at Oakland, represents a $20 million investment to build 240 units of one, two, and three bedroom high-end residential homes that are expected to be available for lease in early 2018.

“This thing is kicked up and ready to go,” said Webb Properties Inc. President William Hancock. “It’s going to be a unique apartment community from the standpoint that it’s a very nice, upscale development, that’s targeted to empty nesters and others looking to downsize from their current situation.”
